Creative Showcase

Since it began operating in 2016, the KC Streetcar has brought an annual series of art installations and live performances to riders traveling along the line—along with pedestrians, cyclists and everyone traversing the Downtown KC area—through a partnership with Art in the Loop.

Each year, Art in the Loop brings temporary artworks and live performances to outdoor spaces in the Downtown KC area. This year’s theme is Convivencia, a Spanish term that references the complexities and opportunities made possible through the act of coexistence.

Watch for this year’s slated celebrations on the Art in the Loop website.

Connecting the Community

The KC Streetcar infuses art into its operations all year long, from locally inspired art installations at Streetcar stops to the annual Holiday Jam, which brings live music onboard to celebrate the season. And of course, the Streetcar has become beloved for its colorful and creative wraps, offering an always-changing display of KC pride.

Beyond providing passengers with a convenient mode of transportation, the KC Streetcar serves as a dynamic source of celebration while running through the heart of the community. Watch closely each time you see it passing by—you never know what kind of creative expression you may see.
