Boutiques in the Bottoms” Brings Unique Finds and Summer Vibes to Kansas City’s West Bottoms
First Friday Weekend, June 6–8, 2025

Kansas City’s Historic West Bottoms Entertainment District is thrilled to host its June First Friday Weekend event, themed “Boutiques in the Bottoms”, happening Friday, June 6 through Sunday, June 8, 2025. The event celebrates the district’s vibrant collection of vintage stores, repurposed furniture dealers, handmade goods, and boutique-style treasures, offering something for every style and shopper.

“West Bottoms shops are locally owned and operated, and the owners and teams curate items and displays that inspire home decor ideas and creative uses for antiques,” said district spokesperson Amber Arnett Bequeaith. “West Bottoms boutiques are beautiful and make visitors feel at home. The focus on the shops and the people reflects the heart of why the West Bottoms attracts designers and others with flair for design.”

What to Expect:
Chic Finds from Unique Shops - Explore 20+ warehouse boutiques filled with vintage furniture, one-of-a-kind home décor, fashion, and artisan goods. Participating shops include Bella Patina, Charmed House Interiors, Serendipity KC, Robin's Nest, Good JuJu, Ugly Glass & CO, Treasure's on 13th, Rustic Vintage Rose, and more.
Style Showcases - Several shops will feature special summer displays and curated “boutique corners” with new arrivals and seasonal collections.
Music & Street Performers - Enjoy music throughout the district and weekend and entertainers on the streets by 13th and Hickory area..
Local Eats & Drinks - Fuel this boutique adventure with local food trucks, cold brews, and gourmet bites from neighborhood vendors and cafes.
Instagram-Worthy Moments: Snap photos in front of colorful murals, vintage trucks, and custom-designed boutique-themed installations.

June BOUTIQUES in the BOTTOMS WEEKEND PLANNER
West Bottoms Shops in Full Bloom - From June 6-8, more than 20 vintage and antique shops will throw open their doors with seasonal surprises and one-of-a-kind finds. Most shops are open 9 AM to 6 PM Friday and Saturday, and from 12 PM to 4 PM on Sunday. (For exact hours, check individual store Facebook pages or visit westbottoms.com.)
Kansas City Plant Collectors Plant Sale – Saturday, June 7, from 9 AM -Take home your own piece of the party with rare and delightful greenery from KC’s passionate plant pros, who’ll be positioned on Hickory within the district with leafy finds and botanical tips.
Food and Drinks That Bloom with Flavor - Savor the weekend with mouthwatering bites and refreshing sips from: Chef J BBQ, Java Garage, Bella Patina’s Painted Rooster Café (3rd Floor), Full Moon Street Bar, West Bottoms Whiskey Co., Fountain Winery, and various rotating food trucks and local vendors.
Full Moon Escape – the Escape Games have slots available and new games. Open Friday, 12:00 PM – 11:00 PM; Saturday, 10:30 AM - 11:00 PM; Sunday, 10:30 AM – 9:30 PM.
Future 2025 West Bottoms First Friday Weekend events include - July’s Boom in the Bottoms; August’s Barks in the Bottoms; September’s Bonfire in the Bottoms; October’s Boo in the Bottoms; November’s Blessings in the Bottoms; and December’s is Bows in the Bottoms.
