This Science Matters Lunch & Learn program will be presented in person at the Kansas City Public Library - Central Library in the Helzberg Auditorium. You are welcome (and encouraged!) to bring your lunch while attending the program.

The Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC), operated by Honeywell FM&T is multi-mission engineering and manufacturing enterprise that delivers trusted national security products and government services. Our partners in realizing product are NNSA (National Nuclear Security Administration) Design Agencies (DA); Sandia Nat. Lab (SNL), Los Alamos Nat. Lab (LANL), and Livermore Nat. Lab (LLNL).

KCNSC is a low volume, high-diversity Production Agency (PA) within the Department of Energy's NNSA that delivers > 80% of the country's non-nuclear components for our nation's nuclear arsenal.

Over the next decade, KCNSC's manufacturing footprint will more than double from 1.7 million square feet to 3.7 million square feet. As a small, but growing effort, KCNSC is applying new ideas to the energy efficiency of such a massive manufacturing operation.
